The professional activity is carried out by consultancy in applications of
environmental, hydrulic, maritime and geotechnical engineering. The main
works are related to the development and application of finite element
models.
The main professional activities have been carried out in the following
projects:
- feasibility study with respect to the inundation risk for the
construction of cement works located close to the Bormida River
embankments, near Alessandria, Italy
- sediment transport and wave propagation analysis for the design of
hard structures to protect the Cesenatico (RN) littoral, Italy
- design of the beach nourishment at Marina di Ravenna (RA), Italy, for
recreational preservation
- subsidence prediction at the Fiumi Uniti River mouth due to the
Angela-Angelina gas reservoir development
- saline intrusion analysis at the Magra River mouth near Sarzana (SP),
Italy, and environmental impact of the restoration project
- feasibility study of the Marinella (SP) docks, Italy, at the Magra
River mouth, with reference to the possible influence on the saline
intrusion in the fresh water aquifers used for civil, agricultural and
industrial aims
- subsidence analysis and prediction along the Emilia-Romagna coastal
area, Italy, due to the multi-aquifer system development from 1940 to
2016 for civil, agricultural and industrial aims
- environmental impact analysis due to the drilling of wells for shallow
water abstraction close to the Po River embankments near Ro Ferrarese
(FE), Italy
